THE DOORS

Inducted: January 2007 (1st Ballot)

A surprising first-ballot induction, The Doors were one of the great psychedelic bands of the classic rock period.  While the band is still technically around to this day, the band's significance ended when lead singer died in 1970, leaving behind an endless argument among rock fans as to whether this band is over-rated, under-rated because everyone feels that they're over-rated, or over-rated because everyone feels that they're under-rated because everyone feels that they're over-rated.
