JOHNNY CASH

Inducted: January 2007 (1st Ballot)

The most tenured of the first ballot inductees, Johnny Cash was the man who made country cool, though his music could easily be lumped in with early rock n roll just as easily.  From early hits such as "Ring Of Fire" and "I Walk The Line" until his career capping cover of Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt", Johnny Cash was a badass who lived and performed by his own rules and all music is better for it.
